Dear friends and family of Camp OCA,
Rejoice with us as we prepare for an unforgettable day of faith, fellowship, and fun at our 5th Annual Walk-a-Thon and Season Kickoff on Saturday, June 7th! This year, we’re also celebrating Camp OCA’s 60th Anniversary—six decades of sharing God’s love, building community, and creating cherished memories at ocainc.ca. Whether you join us at camp or walk from wherever you are, we invite you to be part of this joyful milestone!
Event Details

When: Saturday, June 7th, 2025—rain or shine! Doors open at 1:00 PM, and the walk begins at 2:00 PM.

Where: Camp OCA (or walk from anywhere if you can’t join us in person!).

What to Bring: Your walking shoes, a heart full of praise, and a side dish or dessert for our potluck BBQ!

What to Expect: Uplifting music, warm fellowship, and a chance to support Camp OCA’s mission.
Our Goal: $25,000 for a Brighter Future
This year, we’re raising $25,000 to invest in essential equipment to keep Camp OCA thriving:

Commercial fridges to store food for campers and events.

A generator to ensure uninterrupted power for our programs.

A golf cart to help campers, staff, and volunteers move around camp efficiently.
Every step you take and every dollar you raise will help us continue providing a Christ-centered environment where lives are transformed. Donations of $20 or more will receive a tax receipt as a thank-you for your generosity and there are prizes for raising $150 or more!
Walk Your Way, Anywhere
Can’t make it to camp? No problem! You can participate by walking in your neighborhood, at a local park, or even on a treadmill. Download our pledge sheet here to start collecting donations from friends and family. Every step counts when we walk together in faith!
A Day of Joy and Fellowship
After the walk, join us for a potluck BBQ filled with delicious food, live music, and heartfelt fellowship. Bring a side dish or dessert to share, and let’s celebrate God’s goodness together. This is a day for all ages, so invite your family, friends, and church community—everyone is welcome!
Why We Walk
For 60 years, Camp OCA has been a beacon of hope, welcoming campers to grow in faith, forge lifelong friendships, and experience the joy of Christian community. Your participation in this walk-a-thon helps ensure that future generations can encounter God’s love in this special place. As we walk, let’s reflect on Psalm 133:1—“How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!”
